Medical City Alliance Earns Cycle 6 Chest Pain and Resuscitation Accreditation
FORT WORTH – Medical City Alliance has earned the Cycle 6 Chest Pain Center Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) with Resuscitation Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology (ACC), further building on a STEMI (ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) program which was first to serve the north Fort Worth community.

Hospitals that have earned ACC Chest Pain Center Primary PCI with Resuscitation Accreditation have proven exceptional competency in treating patients with heart attack symptoms and have primary PCI services available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As required to meet the criteria of the accreditation designation, hospital systems are streamlined from admission to treatment and discharge, ensuring each patient has the appropriate post-hospital care and recommendations for assistance and lifestyle changes.
Additionally, Medical City Alliance’s accreditation involves Early Heart Attack Care education. Alongside local fire and EMS partners, Medical City Alliance educates community members to recognize the early signs and symptoms of a heart attack so that they can take appropriate steps in the event of a cardiac event.
