Medical City Alliance Annual Spooktacular Returns on Oct. 29

Medical City Alliance invites the public to its eighth annual “Spooktacular” celebration on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The family-friendly event features music, free food and drinks, face painting, trick-or-treating for the kids, a costume contest, free health information and many more activities.

Hosted since the hospital opened in 2015, the Spooktacular has welcomed up to 3,000 community attendees annually. Even though it was converted to a socially-distanced drive-through event during the pandemic, the event still attracted nearly 2,000 people in 2021.

“We are pleased to bring back a full schedule of family-oriented activities this year, extending our commitment to care for the community beyond our hospital’s doors,” says Glenn Wallace, CEO of Medical City Alliance. “While providing a safe environment for families to trick-or-treat, we’re also happy to help our neighbors learn more about the many services Medical City Alliance offers to improve their health.”

To support community members in need, this year’s Spooktacular attendees will be asked to donate two nonperishable food items for entry into the event. The food will be donated to a local food pantry.

Spooktacular participants are also encouraged to dress up in costumes, with prizes for the best kids’ costumes to be awarded hourly. Other attractions will include a scavenger hunt, photos with a fire truck and a medical transport helicopter, face painters, clowns and community voting on hospital employees’ creative pumpkin decorating contest.
